Eighteen months of conflict have displaced over four million people across Sudan. In the south, where our partners operate, food prices have tripled and the seasonal harvest failed for the second year running. Families that two years ago grew their own food are now entirely dependent on aid that is not reaching them fast enough.
This appeal funds monthly emergency food parcels — sorghum, lentils, oil, salt, sugar, and a powdered nutritional supplement for children — for 4,000 displaced families. Distribution is run by a Sudanese relief organisation that has remained operational throughout the conflict.
£100 feeds a family for one month. £1,200 feeds a family for a year. £24,000 covers a full distribution wave for a 200-family camp.
